The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA), the leading professional organization of the third-party logistics industry, has selected Universal Traffic Service to join its Performance Certified program.
The program is a comprehensive set of best practices designed to guarantee a high level of customer service and operating performance.
The TIA also provides third-party confirmation that members maintain a surety bond to protect the value of clients’ freight.
UTS has been named to the highest level of the program with a verified surety bond of $100,000.
“Members are contractually bound by the Performance Certified Guidelines to provide honest, fair, and ethical service to customers and carriers,” said Robert Voltmann, the President and CEO of the TIA.
“By agreeing to abide by a strict Code of Ethics and the Guidelines, members are achieving a new level of trust and confidence in the industry.”
The TIA oversees the program and monitors the compliance of its membership.
Members are audited annually to ensure full compliance with the Performance Certified Code of Ethics, Bylaws, and Guidelines.
